Some visitors from Denmark, along with residents of the Queensbridge Houses met on the top of a nearby building to not only celebrate July 4th, but the Summer Season. For the young eight Danish people from the town of Reba, the birth place of Jacob Riis, it was a thrill. Millions watched the same firework display along New York's East River. It was a rainy evening but, the thrill of the fireworks, the sharing of tales of traveling abroad and, the unity of those who are a part of the Jacob Riis Neighborhood Settlement House, was not dampened at all.
